I just started playing with the PMC, but from what I see, one is dedicated to sound (SIDCOG), one for driving the vga (you get to 64 colors by a clever trick with a resistor ladder - that's how we used to make DACs for audio, driven by parallel ports. I'll do a post on that later). The rest is available to run binary objects tied to Basic functions.Francois Dionhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10442105466634552900noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4717269872457503530.post-83055618534939113662012-10-25T14:46:33.894-04:002012-10-25T14:46:33.894-04:00Looks like they're synthesizing VGA signals ou...Looks like they're synthesizing VGA signals out of the propeller? Impressive, didn't know that chip had so much power. — _phredAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4717269872457503530.post-3868847446145829352012-10-25T10:20:02.835-04:002012-10-25T10:20:02.835-04:001) The PS/2 Connector: Yes. Instead of waiting to use them, we are going to replace that connector on all existing kits.Eightbitswidehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02617484500221521291noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4717269872457503530.post-69201560864064762192012-10-25T10:18:29.747-04:002012-10-25T10:18:29.747-04:00This comment has been removed by the author.Eightbitswidehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02617484500221521291noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4717269872457503530.post-24125430258519446222012-10-24T22:12:51.038-04:002012-10-24T22:12:51.038-04:00I'd recommend using a PS/2 connector that has ...I'd recommend using a PS/2 connector that has 3 main solder tabs instead of only one, like the one included with the kit. I did add a zip tie, but the next one I build will definitely have an upgraded connector.

As for my dual sided header, that's only for my use. I wanted to easily probe the pins with my scope, and I had these headers in my parts bin.Francois Dionhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10442105466634552900noreply@blogger.com
